Comsol 4.2a convert to solid / delete entities issue

Dear all,

I'm beginner at Comsol 4.2a and I need your help.

I'm building a 3D modell for heat transfer. For the modell geometry I have to use a surfer .grd file as the surface. I succesfully imported the surface into Comsol (Definitons -> functions -> interpolation xyz.dat, then Geometry -> More Primitives -> Parametric surface, ps1). I buildt the parametric surface, then I built a block (blk1). The parametric surface divides the block into 2 subdomains.

After converting to solid (ps1, blk1) I tried the Delete entities feature, but choosing "domain" by deleting entities is useless, and I can't choose the upper part or the lower part of the block divided by the surface to delete. However, this actions perfectly worked by the downloadable example Mount Helens. Using this example I checked all the options by creating the geometry objects, but I can't find out, what is wrong with my surface or block.

Attached .mph contains the block and the parametric surface.
