Sign convention for dielectric permittivity tensor

I'm simulating a magneto-optical metasurface composed of cobalt disk, SiO2 layer, Co layer and gold bulk layer. To account for the magnetic field, I inserted two off-diagonal terms into the dielectric permittivity tensor. I don't know if I'm choosing the sign convention well. I defined the diagonal terms with the equation er(c_const/freq)-jei(c_const/freq). Where er=n^2-k^2 and ei=2nk. For the off-diagonal terms I used a similar definition: exy_real(c_const/freq)-jexy_im(c_const/freq). I attach the image where you can see how I defined the dielectric permittivity tensor.

Thank you

Alberto
