Coils simulation

Can you provide me with some tutorials and ideas to help me model a coil that is helically shaped with 3 turns along the axial direction and 22 turns of copper wire along the radial direction in a flat plane, but appears helical in 3D? I am unsure how to create this type of geometry. And i am very new about Comsol.

Geometry: In 3D, under Geometry, you can choose "More Primitives" and then "Helix." The settings there will provide you with probably the easiest way to generate a coil geometry. Alternatively (and before Comsol introduced the "helix" option) you could create a 3D parametric curve, a face (such as a disk) using a workplane at one end of the curve, and then sweep the face along curve. This is good to know, since it lets you deal with more arbitrary curves than the helix tool (but it will take more mathematical skill and care to implement well).
Physics: There are some tutorial examples and other examples that may be of interest to you in the Appplication Library, especially in regard to the AC/DC module. And there is even a special Coil Geometry Analysis feature there.
