Cotinuous Release in Particle Tracing Module

I would like to continuously release particles for a set amount of time using the new particle tracing module. Under hte Inlet settings there only seems to be the availability of step-wise release times. Is there any way to implement continuous release in this module? Or should I so a quasi-continuous release, ie: setting the interval time to a very small value?
