Using the Find and Auto Completion Tools in COMSOL Multiphysics®

Creating a model sometimes involves the use of several definitions, such as parameters, variables, and functions. As you continue your modeling workflow, it can become challenging to locate where the definitions that you have created are being used. It can also be difficult to recall and enter those definitions in the settings for other nodes in your model. In the COMSOL Multiphysics® software, the Find and Auto Completion tools enable you to quickly search throughout your model and find where any definitions are being used as well as easily enter them in the expression field for any node in your model tree, respectively.

In this video, we use the example of the laser heating wafer tutorial model to show you how to search and find parameters, quickly navigate to each location in which they are used, use the Auto Completion tool to find definitions and mathematical operations.

Tip: Learn more about this functionality in the blog post titled How to Use the Find and Auto Completion Tools for Faster Model Setup.
