LiveLink™ Products for CAD Software

The bidirectional interface functionality of the product suite detailed in the table below is available only for Windows® 7, Windows® 8.1, and Windows® 10; except for LiveLink™ for PTC Pro/ENGINEER®, which is available only for Windows® 7. File Import for CATIA® V5

The File Import for CATIA® V5 add-on to the CAD Import Module, Design Module, and LiveLink™ products for CAD is only available for Windows® 7, Windows® 8.1, and Windows® 10. File import of the CATIA® V5 file format requires a processor with the AVX instruction set, for example, an Intel® Xeon or Intel® Core processor with the Sandy Bridge architecture, or later, released in Q1, 2011, or a processor with the AMD Jaguar architecture, or later, released mid 2013.

LiveLink™ for Excel®

An Excel® installation is not required for reading and writing Excel files. LiveLink™ for Excel® offers additional features when Excel® is installed on the Windows® operating system. LiveLink™ for Excel® is compatible with Excel® 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019 on the Windows® operating system. Excel® 2010 Starter is not supported. If using Office 365 Excel® must be installed on the computer — LiveLink™ for Excel® requires a version of Excel that supports VSTO addins.

LiveLink™ for MATLAB®

LiveLink™ for MATLAB® is compatible with MATLAB® R2020a and R2020b on all supported operating systems. For Linux® operating system, the xterm and csh programs are required. For macOS operating system, the XQuartz and csh programs are required.

LiveLink™ for Simulink®

LiveLink™ for Simulink® is compatible with Simulink® R2020a and R2020b on all supported operating systems. For Linux® operating system, the xterm program is required. For macOS operating system, the XQuartz program is required. Note that LiveLink™ for Simulink® is not supported for use with the Application Builder, COMSOL Compiler™, or COMSOL Server™.
