Modeling Turbulent Flow w/oTurbulent Flow Model

Will COMSOL return a valid solution for turbulent flow conditions if I don't use
a turbulent flow model (k-e or k-w)?

The reason I'm not using a turbulent flow model is because I can't specify
Brinkman porous media paramters for some of my subdomains when using a turbulent
flow model. I'm modeling flow through a large reactor with catalyst sections
that I am approximating as porous media.

Thanks!
