COMSOL, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its Los Angeles office.
Primary responsibilities
- Provide technical support for customers of COMSOL Multiphysics in the fields of low and high frequency electromagnetics
- Develop and teach training classes in electromagnetics modeling
- Give COMSOL product demonstrations at workshops, conferences, and meetings with customers
- Work collaboratively with developers to implement new features and participate in the overall product development of COMSOL Multiphysics
Qualities
- Business oriented and willing to work with customers on a daily basis
- Genuine interest of scientific computing and software simulation tools, particularly within the field of electromagnetics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High energy, self-motivated, quick study with positive attitude, flexible nature and goal-oriented work habits
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
Requirements
- Ph.D. in engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences. Exceptional M.S. candidates will be considered
- Demonstrated experience with computational modeling of Maxwell’s equations in low- and high-frequency regimes
- Eligibility to work in the United States
