COMSOL Modeling Event for the U.S. Government this Month
It’s almost time for our 3rd annual U.S. Government Modeling Event, so I wanted to give you an inside look at what it’s really all about.
First of all, there has been a major switch-up from last year’s gathering in terms of the program. This May, the morning will be devoted to an introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics with a live demo, hands-on session, and new features, followed by an afternoon of tutorials interlaced with user presentations. Last year, according to Jeanette Littmarck, COMSOL Sales Manager and organizer of the event, “we offered tutorial sessions that may have been too specific for some attendees — something we are improving this time around.” The tutorials will be general enough to interest most everyone, while delving into somewhat more specific topics, namely: structural mechanics, electromagnetics, and transport phenomena.
The location has also changed. Instead of hosting the event at the University of Phoenix in D.C., we will be at Courtyard by Marriott Rosslyn in Arlington, VA (which is still a mere eight minutes from the heart of D.C., by the way).
Most importantly, this event is classified; we welcome only people affiliated with the government, such as federal employees and contractors. If you’re qualified to attend — don’t forget to bring your employee badge!
The 2012 COMSOL U.S. Government Modeling Event will be held on Wednesday, May 16th.
